ὡς φάτο τοὺς δ' ἄρα πάντας ὑπο τρόμος ἔλλαβε γυῖα.

πάπτηνεν δὲ ἕκαστος. ὅπῃ φύγοι αἰπὺν ὄλεθρον:

So spake he, and thereat trembIing seized the limbs of them all, and each man gazed about to see how he might escape utter destruction.
